Homemade Apple Sauce

This is by far one of our kids most requested foods - applesauce!  We have been making it an extra lot lately now that our little one is starting to eat real foods.

Do you make your own applesauce?  I'll be honest - we do buy it sometimes from the store - but nothing beats a fresh warm batch of it.

DIRECTIONS:

Peel and core apples and place in pot. Add a bit of water and bring to boil on stove.  Once apples come to a boil, it only takes a couple minutes for the apples to become soft and mushy.  You may need to drain a bit of water if it becomes too runny.

Then, place apples in blender to make smooth or mash with masher to reach your desired consistency. Sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top, and serve.  A perfect snack for the whole family!
