Additional Therapies and Methods

Contemporary Medical Acupuncture: Contemporary medical acupuncture is a precise peripheral nerve stimulation technique, in which fine needles (acupuncture needles) are inserted into certain locations, and stimulated (manually or with electricity) in order to modify abnormal activity of the nervous system. The biochemical changes that occur when needles are inserted stimulate the body's natural healing abilities, which promote physical and emotional well-being. This treatment is typically used to complement other chiropractic techniques, such as joint mobilization, massage or exercise/stretches.
